ROUND UP...

Congratulations to Tom who claimed the title of BB Boffin! He correctly predicted the top 3 on the comments section. Well done fella. Nice one! (His acceptance speech is on the comments x)

So, on to the round up...What a crazy three weeks we've had eh?

It all started off so well as the housemates got to know each other over the first few days. Then (der der derrrrrrrr!) in came the Goodys and before you know it, half the house are servants, Donny's over the wall and the whole show has gone barmy! Jackiey was evicted through the back door after her clashes with Shilpa, and Ken walked through the same exit after a cheesy hoo-har with Jade. Leo slowly became more and more weird as time went on and sadly his journey came to an end over underpants! Why didn't you just wash your own clothes, Leo?

From this point on we all know what happened (the whole world does!)
Jo, Jade and Danielle formed their little group, Shilpa, Dirk and Jermaine united and Ian and Cleo flew around like little butterflies! Consequently numerous arguments followed:

  • The under-cooked chicken
  • The shopping list
  • The stock cubes and many more...

All equally petty arguments which exploded into all out war!
Needless to say, public opinion and press coverage escalated and words like 'bullying' and 'racist' popped up all over the place. The whole thing turned into a witch hunt and as usual the finger was pointed at Jade Goody. I wouldn't mind but up until the end she hadn't even said anything (it was the other two) and Jade was the only one to be direct with Shilpa. As we all know Jade has been crucified by the press ever since and after being evicted on the night of the final, the other girls brushed it off as a misunderstanding. A clash of personalities. So what happens to Jade - the only one of them so far to take any responsibility for what happenned? Good question, Selena! Then again Big Brother has never been fair, has it?

In the meantime, Jermaine was a calming influence, Dirk skipped a lot and was grumpy, Ian worked out and got over excited and Cleo dressed up and stalked Dirk for a laugh.

When the final ended, Shilpa won (I don't agree that it was a fix) - she deserved it! I was happy she won as she demonstrated the dignity and class she exhibited in the house. After reading all the press speculation about 'how Shilpa must feel', we finally got to see how she really felt! Her explanation spoke volumes. 'Everybody makes mistakes, I have. I truly believe that Jade was not racist'. There you go.

The words of one quashed the thoughts of many and forgiveness and understanding came to the fore. Thanks 'Shilps', you are a star! Please let the press get a photo of you giving Jade a cuddle, she wasn't the ring leader hun, and I'm sure it would help you both (I'm such a big softy at heart!)

On a lighter note, Big B didn't dissapoint when it came to silly trials and tasks. Who can forget the assault course and Danielle losing her dress, or Jermaine's rendition of a Jackson 5 classic? Ken stealing the cheesy biscuits during the servants task and all the housemates prancing about as showgirls?! Fun, fun, fun! I thought that 'The BB Team' task was the best, though more work may be required for the summer - some of the tasks stunk!

All in all, it was a great three weeks of TV - probably for the wrong reasons, but they did have some fun. Regardless of controversy, confusion and collusion... I have loved blogging it!

Thanks so much for all of your comments and input. The blog got way over a million hits - woohoo! I hope you will all join me in the summer for the next Big Bro. MSN have asked me write it and I know it's gonna be a cracking show!

As always feel free to leave your comments.

Squishy, squodgy snuggles and hugs...
Your friendly neighbourhood spiderman. Selena x

THE LIVE FINAL!

HERE WE GO! ARE YOU READY... AS ALWAYS LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS AND I'LL POST THE CORKERS.

Just eleven minutes until the first vote count, then two leave. Cool!

So we are starting off with footage of Danielle and 'H' ranting on again about how she was lead astray by Jade. Rubbish! She has a mind of her own 'H'. Danielle is trying to say she said nothing about Shilpa, until 'H' reminds her about her drunken rant! Ah...now she remembers, how convenient.

Simon just made a really good point on the comment section. He wonders if Jade will be there when all of the old housemates come out. So do I! I didn't think of that. If they exclude her it's not fair, but she may have chosen not to come. I haven't seen her.

As the housemates perform 'a review' of their time in the house it is fantastic to see Shilpa laughing about the stock cube argument. She is giggling at 'H' impersonating her accent and really getting stuck into her roles. It's heartbreaking to think that she really is at ease with it all now whilst the outside world is still freaking out! I hope that Shilpa will remain just as dignified when she leaves. Maybe she will set the record straight and explain how she really feels, instead of the press speculation of how she feels. Can she stop this madness!

Davina is going to talk to the house. Leaving first are... JACK AND DANIELLE!

No surprise they leave to boo's! Again it's a shame, I don't think all those boos are for Jack. As before Davina goes into her scripted intro and shows them the VT of recent events. Danielle is not helping herself as she laughs and smiles at the VT. Following the footage Danielle says that she is sorry. She says she thought the arguments were girls being girls. There was no racism intended. Jack is asked about the VT and he states he is shocked. He explains that he 'just did not like Shilpa in the beginning'. He is allowed to just not like someone, it was nothing to do with skin colour. Davina asks Danielle what she thinks Shilpa will think of the footage, Danielle looks weary but says 'Shilpa will be understanding.' When asked what she has learned Danielle says 'not to be such a bitch!' Davina's reply...'Good!' As the best bits are shown I'm wondering where Jacks interview is? I guess that was it!

So who's next? It's IAN! I THOUGHT HE WOULD MAKE TOP THREE! THAT'S A SHAME, I WAS KINDA HOPING HE WOULD WIN.

I am so glad that Ian leaves to cheers! He deserves them.  Davina agrees, she says 'it's so nice to have a happy eviction for a change'. Ian is made up because he didn't think he would make the final. He describes the last three weeks as 'changing', he felt a lot more relaxed in the last week. He explains that he did not like the arguments at all and did not want to get involved. Davina shows 'the footage' to Ian. He cannot believe it! Ian makes a point of saying that to his knowledge there was no racism. He admits he felt out of his depth with the conflict. 'I've lived a very sheltered life.' When asked what he enjoyed, Ian replies 'the tasks!' (Well duh!) We all knew that anyway! Ian is bashful when Davina comments on how 'buff' he is. 'There was nothing to do but work out when there was no tasks. I can't sit around and talk c**p.' As his interview ends he smiles with no regrets. WELL DONE IAN! I think you have come out to the best reception! The country pretty much loves ya!

Next out... DIRK!

There's a mix of boo's and cheers for Dirk (between you and me I think Ian has had the best reception of all of them, he may even beat the winner for cheers.) Dirk is commended on his skipping! He explains that he had to find something to do. As the subject changes to Jade&Shilpa-gate, Dirk repeats that Jermaine was the calming influence when it all 'went off'. Dirk giggles as he is shown footage of his 'love' scenes with Shilpa next... He loves that she could cook, she was elegant and fantastic. Dirk admits that spending time with Shilpa 'was hard' as she is so lovely. Davina moves on to Dirks issues with Cleo, Dirk explains that he didn't have a problem with her initially, he was only bothered by her when she wouldn't leave him alone. 'She crossed the line.' My favourite line from this series was when Donny said 'Dirk F****ng Benedict' and Dirk said 'I don't usually use my middle name'. CLASS! Cheers Dirk.

See, I knew it would happen, Davina is complaining because both finalists are being booed! Ian won this if you go by the cheers!

The winner is...JERMAINE! (JUST KIDDING - HEHE) IT'S SHILPA!

Jermaine leaves the house to cheers and seems happy and thankful that the reception is good. He deserves it though, he's been calming and dignified throughout. Is that what big brother is about though? Anyway... Davina asks if Jermaine knew what he was getting himself into? Jermaine laughs and admits he had no idea. He says he tried to keep the peace, but he was freaked out by waking up to the cameras watching. As Jade is mentioned Jermaine explains that he actually likes Jade, 'she is real.' Davina says she will discuss her later, and the subject changes to the trumps (He he - hearing Jermaine talk about farting is hilarious). Davina is gobsmacked when Jermaine asks her 'is my brother in town?' She looks at him as if to say 'like I would know?', then replies 'if he was here I would be on him like a rash!' Go on Davina! Best bits are on before you know it...and there's no time for more Jade bashing (Good! Hasn't there been enough on this show already?). Thanks Jermaine - you're BAD (in a good way!)

Shilpa wins with 63% of the vote. Some of the crowd are shouting FIX (so are the people in the comments section). I hope she doesn't get boo's - what's the point in that! She leaves to a mixed reception, though I have to say the fireworks drown a lot of the crowd noise out... The press are scrambling for photos and Shilpa is smiling but shocked. Shilpa walks through the crowd shouting 'THANKYOU!'
As the interview begins Shilpa says the most shocking thing in the house (for her) was cooking! She is shown the footage from the house and says she wants to forget those things. She says 'we all make mistakes' and she believes 'Jade did not mean to be racist in any way.' She repeats 'Jade is not a racist. I don't want to leave here leaving Jade in trouble. That is not right'. Shilpa thanks the british public for making her the winner and for allowing her to make her country proud. Well said Shilpa! So that's cleared up - let's get on... As Davina moves on to happier things, Shilpa says she is so pleased and can't wait to see her mum. 'This is the first thing I have done on my own for myself'. She adds she has never won anything in her life. On the subjest of 'lurve', Davina asks how Dirk could win her over. Shilpa says he would have to 28 years younger, he would have to eat chicken and move to India. Shilpa sums up her time in the house with these words...incredible, overwhelming and chicken curry rules!

I wonder if they will bring the other housemates out? Will Shilpa and Jade hug? Guess not!

Surprisingly there is no housemates reunion? But Shilpa takes to the stage to rapturous applause and cheers all round!

WELL DONE SHILPA! DIGNIFIED THROUGHOUT AND A TOUCH OF CLASS, YOU DESERVE IT!

Thanks to everyone for your comments - Keep them coming. We are now well over the MILLION hits mark. Whoopie!!! Join me tommorrow for my round up of this years CBB - It's one we won't forget in a hurry (that's for sure). Oh, and leave me a comment if you wanna claim the title of CBB Boffin! Did you predict the top three correctly? I'm sticking around for Big Mouth (if you're wondering Jade is not there either) so feel free to carry on posting.

Big, fat, huge, enormous, gigantic, kisses and hugs x ME!

THE BIG FINALE! WOO HOO!

So today is the big day guys. Who wins? Join me tonight from 8 o'clock for the grand final!

Yesterday was more than eventful for the housemates. They had a movie to make and questions to answer. The new fangled 'post box' seem to go down well, but some of the housemates (namely Dirk) were not impressed.

Here's a sample of the Q & A:

Jack, do you not talk so much because you're used to Jade doing all the talking? 'I'm a listener not a talker but she does do most of the talking. Not for me, just more talking. It's hard to get a word in.' Ian advised Jack that he has become much more chatty since Jade left.

Jermaine, do you think being in the Big Brother House is helping you overcome your shyness and why are you shy in the first place? 'Well my whole family is shy, except when we're on stage. Being in the BB house has helped me overcome certain things. I've learnt I have more patience. I also learnt I'll need a lobotomy. Why am I shy? That's just the way it is.'

Danielle, which evictee would you want back? 'Everyone,' she replied. 'I couldn't choose one person. I'd have all of them back. Even Ken and Donny and Leo if it was possible. I liked everybody.'

Ian if the opportunity arose, would you be prepared to reform Steps? 'I've always said no before. But being in here has made me think about things and I would do it again. I've had such a good time and being here gives you such time to think. We've got a tribute band in here already!'
Shilpa, as a celebrity, what prompted you to do this and how has it affected you? Shilpa explained she wanted to be a trendsetter for Bollywood stars to come and do Big Brother in the UK. 'And how has it affected me? I'm brain dead. I think it's given me the opportunity to understand myself. And that it doesn't matter what country you're from, we're all human and all share the same emotions.'

Dirk, did you keep the outfit from Battlestar Galactica? Dirk looked happy with the question... 'This is shallow and vapid and something I can handle. I was expecting something deep. This is a guy who understands me, bless you for asking. I didn't keep the outfit or helmet. All I kept was the memories. I left it all there. The black leather outfit was unbelievable.' Ian asked 'did you keep anything from the A-team?' 'Yeah I kept thongs. Load of 'em. I had 'em hanging up like a curtain,' replied Dirk. Saucy!

Watch out tonight for footage of the TV Movie task. It's a cracker! Todays task is a domino rally (I told you didn't I - he he)Leave a comment, there is still time to get your predictions in! Hope to see you back here at eight! Hugs ME!

One day left...

Today as the housemates recover from last nights double eviction, BB has kept them busy with tasks aplenty!

FACTS MACHINE - WHO ANSWERS? HOUSEMATES DECIDE
Today, Housemates must provide Big Brother viewers with some hard facts- about themselves.
Viewers' questions will be sent in via the Big Brother Facts Machine situated on the wall in the Living Area.
An incoming question will be signaled by a red light on the Big Brother Facts Machine
One Housemate must collect the question and read it aloud to the rest of the group.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION…
For today's task, the six housemates must star in their very own straight-to-TV movies that portray their most memorable moments from the Big Brother house. These retrospective pieces must be themed in the following four movie genres: Romantic Comedy, Film Noir, Action Blockbuster and Bollywood Musical.
Each TV Movie must portray one of the four weeks housemates have spent in the Big Brother house. ALL housemates, past and present, must be portrayed by the six remaining ones. The housemates have chosen:
WEEK 1 - Film noir. This week will include Donny and Ken's departures and the masters and servants task.
WEEK 2 - Romantic comedy based on Dirk and Shilpa.
WEEK 3 - Action blockbuster, based on arguments in the house
WEEK 4 - Bollywood musical, including the series final.

FINAL PERFORMANCE
The final performance of each TV Movie must take place on the stage in the Living Area outside the Bedroom.
Housemates have approximately three hours to prepare their TV Movies before the final performances later on today.
Housemates will be rewarded with a luxury three-course dinner tonight for completing today's Task.
I'll be back with the results on Sunday, before the big final! Join me from 8 o'clock LIVE!  Who wins?
